I have been hearing about the new clothing subscription services, but they all sounded similar, so I spent sometime on each of the sites and decided to share what I learned as this Tuesday's Tallgirl.
Golden tote provides 2-3 items (1 is a surprise ) or 5-7 clothing or accessories for a monthly subscription. And each month they come in a cute tote.
Pro: Golden tote has several cute clothes, great photos and good sizing info showing the model stats so you can compare the sizing.
Con: When I explored the site 3 out of the 6 pieces were already sold out. I have some serious doubts that this would fit tall gals. The model was 5'8 in this month's subscription.
Price: Golden tote $49 for 2-3 items or $149 for 5-7 items.
Stitch Fix sends you 5 items to try on at home and return what doesn't fit.
Pro: Free returns, each item comes with styling tips. You send your dimensions and a stylist decides (based on the info you send them) what they think you will like.
Con: Not clear on how they would style a tall gal.
Price: $20 styling fee (which goes to the final price of the first order). Items are on average $65 each. If you buy all five items you get 25% off. If you don't like the item, you return it.
Le Tote has a clothing and jewelry option. The boutique box sends 3 garments and 2 accessories in each box.
Pro: This subscription comes with 3 garments and 2 accessories so you get a lot of variety.
Con: Hard to tell if they come in tall sizes. Signing up is required before seeing what is available.
Price: $19 a month for the jewelry box and $49 a month for the clothing box.
From what I could tell, none of the subscriptions required a contract so if you try one, you can cancel if you don't like what you received. So what do you think? So far I'm thinking Stitch Fix sounds like it may be the most appealing. Have you tried any clothing subscriptions?
