Knit Dress: Round 1

I just completed the Built By Wendy Pretty Baby-doll dress. I don't love it, but that's my fault - I made some alterations that aren't all that awesome. So, I'm going to give this pattern another go in the next few weeks. I think it would look adorable with a pair of boots... and some thick leggings - it's getting cold in Portland!

Here's a few things I learned:

1. This dress is a lot easier than it looks.
2. Neckline: The pattern is extremely low cut, so I'd recommend altering it to something you are comfortable with. I did for my pattern by comparing the neckline of a dress I wear all the time.
3. Typo alert: The width of the skirt should be more like 14 1/2" not 16 like it says in the book.
4. I made the bodice a little longer, but I think if I make this dress again, I'd do it with a shorter bodice, like the original pattern.
