A bit overwhelmed

Okay, so I know this is a very strange photo, and a bit stretched, but
I think this photo encapsulates the feeling of standing here on the
Place de la Concorde. Marie Antoinette met her end here along with her
husband Louis xvii. And (quite randomly) there is a huge 3,330 year
old obelisk in the very spot.
Add those crazy facts and sights to the sounds of traffic, snapping
camera shutters and 20 different languages and you will be standing in
this very spot.
If you look closely you can see the Arc de Triomphe at the other end
of the Champs-Elysees. We started at the Arc and then walked to the
Louvre. It was 71' today- the warmest it's been since we got here.
